Mazhandu Family Bus Services operates a fleet of 23 luxury coaches and 17 semi luxury coaches between Lusaka and Katima Mulilo. All coaches are fitted with seatbelts and equipped with first-aid kits and fire extinguishers. Refreshments and snacks are available on board.
The Coaches are serviced and maintained at the company's own workshop by in-house professional mechanics. In the rare case of breakdown, a back-up bus is despatched immediately.
The route from Lusaka stops at Monze, Choma, Livingstone, Kazungula (Botswana border), Sesheke and Katimamulilo (Namibia border), including stops at the smaller towns. The busses run from 6:00 to 19:30, with nine journeys per day each way. There is also a daily service from Lusaka to Mongu at 13:30.
Pre-booking is available one day in advance. Mazhandu also runs a loyalty program to reward their regular passengers. With every ten tickets a passenger accumulates, they qualify for one complimentary ticket.
